Stefanie Akashi is a Filipino-Japanese actress best known for her role as Maria in the critically acclaimed film Plan 75, which received the Caméra d’Or Special Mention at the 75th Cannes Film Festival and was Japan’s entry to the 95th Academy Awards. She won Best Supporting Actress at the 2023 Malaysia International Film Festival. Since then, she made her musical theatre debut as lead Rio in Mahal Ko Medley and continues working across Japanese and international productions including Chacha, Edjop, Melancholic, Crosspoint, and many more.

Jon Sabay
Jon Sabay is a Tokyo-based actor, improviser, and stand-up comedian. Seen this year opening for Gianmarco Soresi’s Tokyo leg of his Asia Tour, he also has years of experience in local theatre; Jon most recently played the role of Tristan in Sheepdog Theatre’s production of The Effect. He can regularly be found performing at Tokyo Comedy Bar in Shibuya and is the creator of Roles for Initiative, a live Dungeons and Dragons comedy show.

Born to an immigrant family in Canada and growing in the US, Jesse joined the Shroud production after one of the directors to fill several roles for a movie at a filmmakers meetup in Tokyo, Japan, where he now lives.

Alison Pauline Taduran
Alison is trained in theater in the UK. She has been in the theater scenes in the Philippines, Japan and the UK. Shroud is her first movie involvement and is grateful for the opportunity. She works as an engineer and is residing with her husband and dog, Halo, in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa.

Miki Kanta
Miki Hanta is a bilingual (Japanese/English) actor who trained at HB Studio in New York, where she also appeared in theatre, film, and commercial productions. Recently focusing on screen work, her credits include the feature film Hakobune (Feelingscape) (dir. Ryo Onishi), Rock, Paper, Death! (dir. Akihiro Asao), and the lead role in the short film The Funeral (dir. Elena Sakuda). She also plays the violin and has portrayed violinists on stage and screen.
